Bexley Voluntary Service Council has collated details of various training courses from information provided by several training venues. This training is aimed at front line staff and volunteers of local community/voluntary groups. GREATER LONDON VOLUNTEERING - BIG LOTTERY FUND GIVES HALF A MILLION TO INCREASE EXCELLENT VOLUNTEERING
Experts in Volunteering recently launched its campaign to improve volunteering experiences across the capital, whilst establishing a standard Charter of Good Practice for volunteer-involving organisations.
The project, managed by Greater London Volunteering (GLV), will define volunteering and good practice by developing a Charter, and support third sector groups to access, interpret and use information, templates and resources to develop quality volunteering programmes. Further details
THE BIG SQUEEZE
LVSC are running a campaign called "The Big Squeeze", as "Londoners need voluntary and community sector services more than ever as the economic downturn continues." The Big Squeeze website includes an online survey as part of the campaign.
