FORUMS AND NETWORKS
The following forums and networks are convened by BVSC.
BEXLEY VOLUNTARY FORUM
A forum with a formal membership of voluntary and community groups serving Bexley which meets four times a year. It discusses corporate voluntary sector issues as well as issues around health and social care. The forum elects representatives to the Health Partnership Board and Partnership Groups covering areas such as learning disability, older people, and mental health.
SMALL GROUPS NETWORK
An informal network that meets quarterly, with presentations on a wide range of subjects to help inform and develop small groups. The Network gives groups the opportunity to build relationships with one another for mutual support. A regular e-newsletter is circulated to members giving information and updates on issues affecting small groups and the opportunity for them to publicise their work and events.
CHIEF OFFICERS GROUP
An opportunity for Chief Officers of staffed groups to meet in a confidential setting to discuss issues of mutual interest. It also provides the opportunity to network and receive support from colleagues. Two to four meetings are held annually.
TRUSTEE NETWORK
An opportunity for Trustees of voluntary groups to meet in a confidential setting to discuss issues of interest or concern and receive support and advice from other trustees. Meetings are held three times a year.
